Facilitating with the submission of contracts for the monitoring of performance of all employees together with the appointment of all relevant committees. Captured contracts on the system for compliance and reporting purposes. Coordinating moderation meetings and paid all incentives to qualifying personnel on time. Assisting with all logistics and schedule training courses and employee workshops, internships, learnership and other training programmes. Assisting with planning, organizing and monitoring course conducted for staff. Coordinating training facilities and communicating training to all relevant parties using different mediums.
Recruitment and Selection
Performed all duties pertaining to recruitment and selection process. Assisting with the development of specifications for posts by relevant supervisors, liaised with Head Office for advertisement masterlists and a scriber during the shortlisting and interviewing sessions. Transfers, verification of qualifications, secretarial functions at interviews and meetings, probationary periods etc. Assisted with employee orientation and indication processes. Prepared reports on personnel administration issues and statistics on a monthly basis.
Retirement and Pensions
Assisting with exit interviews of exiting personnel. Liaise with the Government Pension Administration (GPAA) for timeous payment of benefits. Facilitate the payment of leave gratuity and responsible for all administrative functions i.e. management of incoming and outgoing documents. Capturing of terminations and other transactions on the PERSAL system. Capturing of transactions on PERSAL (probation reports, payments, pay progressions, grade progression). Liaison with clients relating to performance related enquiries.
Attending Disciplinary Hearings and observed all the processes followed and familiarised myself with all the Labour Relations processes, procedures and prescripts. Acted as a scriber in the Institutional Transformation Unit (ITU) where management and labour unions sit and discuss issues related to employee relations for the smooth running of the facility. Assisting in providing employment and labour strategic and legal advice to mitigate the risk of any employment disputes.
Human Resource Administration
Maintaining employee files. Typing of documents. Coordinating HR projects (meetings, training etc.) and taking minutes. Filing, printing, photocopying, scanning, e-mailing, writing internal and external memos. Handling incoming calls. Capturing of transactions on PERSAL
