Job Specifications for Process Engineer

Purpose: The Process Engineer need to lead, supports, and facilitates process improvement initiatives across multiple functional units for both strategic and continuous process improvement and process automation efforts. This includes design and support throughout implementation to assure alignment with strategic initiatives, driving consensus among business units including process ownership and governance. Design activities involve documentation, management, and oversight of end-to-end business process analysis to improve productivity, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.

Performance Outputs:

  • Lead the definition, scoping, and chartering efforts for business process analysis and design projects related to process improvement and automation.
  • Participate in planning sessions with business owners to improve business processes and prioritise process re-engineering initiatives.
  • Access and analyse processes, data points, and controls to determine sub-optimal performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible for improving organisational capabilities including facilitating growth, customer loyalty, cost reduction, improved efficiency, employee engagement, and culture change.
  • Experience in managing projects across multi-functional teams.
  • Participate in and support business case development processes.
  • Document processes and procedures using standard methodologies and tools.
  • Ensure all changes to processes are reflected in the repository of process documentation.
  • Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of organisation-wide process-centric methodologies.
  • Provide process and business consultation services.
  • Facilitate the business requirements to the technical teams.
  • Work with customers to establish and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Facilitate organisational change.
  • Provide education and coaching on process methodologies and enterprise process leadership.

Skills Requirements:

  • Banking or Financial Services background preferred
  • Business Process Modelling with BPMN experience
  • BPMN 2.0 and advanced business modelling concepts
  • Analytical, facilitation, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Present information, analysis, ideas, and positions clearly in writing
  • Ability to navigate complex organisational structures
  • Ability to foster collaboration and gain support for recommendations

Educational Requirement for Process Engineer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Industrial/Management Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) to seven (7) years working experience in Business Process Improvement/Automation
  • Expert in process modelling methods and standards
  • Advanced process engineering methodologies (Six Sigma/Lean Sigma)
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life-cycle methodologies
  • Project Management Certification
  • Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Certification advantageous
