Meet our Trainer
Irma Karsten
Irma has designed and delivered training for executives, senior leaders and professional teams in South Africa and internationally. Her corporate training and wider client experience includes professionals and teams from organisations such as Unilever, Vodacom, Sanlam, Adams & Adams, North-West University, iStore Education, Seeff and other organisations operating across technology, telecommunications, professional services, financial services, automotive, FMCG, education, logistics and related industries.
Her practical experience spans AI adoption, digital strategy, data-informed decision-making, process improvement, stakeholder alignment, business implementation and the translation of complex information into clear, actionable frameworks. She is also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and has extensive experience in adult learning, facilitation and outcomes-based curriculum design.
Irma’s approach to AI training is intentionally tool-aware but not tool-dependent. She works across platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, while teaching principles and workflows that participants can apply within their organisation’s approved technology environment.
Her programmes are designed around active application rather than passive demonstration. Participants analyse realistic business scenarios, test AI outputs, challenge assumptions, improve their work and create reusable assets they can take back into their professional environment.
For the AI-Ready Business Analyst Accelerator, Irma’s role is not to replace participants’ existing Business Analysis expertise with generic AI theory. The programme builds on that expertise and helps Business Analysts apply it in an AI-enabled environment—where the ability to frame the right problem, evaluate evidence, define responsible requirements and exercise professional judgement is becoming increasingly valuable.
Irma believes that effective AI training should not end with participants knowing more about AI. It should leave them able to perform their work more effectively, make better decisions and create measurable value for the organisations and clients they serve.
